Guerra na Etiópia se intensifica em meio a combates e cortes na internet

O Exército etíope e os rebeldes de Tigré se envolveram em intensos combates noturnos na região de Afar, informou uma fonte humanitária nesta sexta-feira (25), e houve relatos de interrupções na internet no norte do país. 

Os rebeldes da Frente de Libertação Popular de Tigré (TPLF) já haviam travado uma guerra civil contra as autoridades entre 2020 e 2022, na qual cerca de 600 mil pessoas morreram, segundo a União Africana.

A TPLF governou toda a Etiópia de 1991 a 2018, até ser marginalizada com a ascensão do atual primeiro-ministro, Abiy Ahmed Ali.
