Mary Kassel is a Senior Writer & Critic who joined the Screen Rant team in 2023.

After graduating from Emerson College with a degree in Media Arts Production, Kassel started at Screen Rant with a focus on the critical analysis side of movies and television while continuing to work on set in film production.

At Screen Rant, Kassel primarily writes for the Classic TV section, mining their encyclopedic knowledge of television history for content. However, they also contribute to the Books team and review both film and television as a critic.

It's always disappointing when a streaming service cuts a beloved TV show short, canceling it after just one or two seasons. Fortunately, this November will see the return of some of streaming's best originals, all coming back to expand their stories and demonstrate why it works when the services bet on their own work. While everything on Netflix and other streamers over the past few months has been fun to watch, November has an amazing slate, ramping up as the holidays approach.

With new shows coming to Disney+ and Hulu and movies coming to HBO Max, November is going to be a big month for streaming services in both their content catalogs and original projects. A few of these shows have only been on hiatus for a year or so, while others have taken much longer to return to screens, but they're all highly anticipated projects. It's safe to say that audiences will have no shortage of great TV to dive into in the coming month.

7 Stick (2025–)

Season 2 Premieres On Apple TV On November 4th, 2026

Owen Wilson as Pryce Cahill on the golf course in Stick season 2

Owen Wilson stars in the heartfelt comedy Stick that made waves on Apple TV when it premiered in 2025. Back for its second installment, Stick season 2 drops on November 4th, with the first two episodes, and the following episodes airing weekly until the end of December for a total of 10 episodes. Set against the backdrop of professional golf, Stick appeals to audiences far and wide, as the series is about its characters and their development, not just the sport.

After Stick season 1, we're anxious to find out what will happen to Wilson's Pryce Cahill and his young protégé Santi (Peter Dager). It's been reported that this season, Pryce is going to focus on his own career and potential comeback as a golfer, which will shake up his dynamic with Santi and let Wilson's comedic timing continue to steal the show. A feel-good watch that makes it easy to root for the underdog, Stick has plenty of goodwill going into season 2.

6 The Gilded Age (2022–)

Season 4 Premieres On HBO Max On November 1st, 2026

Every streaming service works hard to ensure it's putting out the best possible original series, but HBO Max cultivated a reputation for putting out prestige dramas audiences can count on. Since 2022, The Gilded Age has helped to fill the niche in the period drama genre left by Downton Abbey. Now entering its fourth season, The Gilded Age has seen its characters change a lot, with wealth and class dynamics operating at the forefront of the story.

The Gilded Age season 4 has an excellent release schedule, with new episodes dropping weekly on Sundays at 9 pm EST on HBO Max after the season premiere on November 1st. It's a prime slot for streaming TV, practically ensuring that audiences will tune in every Sunday to find out what happens to the beloved characters next. It's safe to say more engagements, parties, and social rules will be bent and broken in the upcoming installment.

5 Yellowjackets (2021)

Season 4 Premieres On Paramount+ On November 20th, 2026

The fourth and final season of Yellowjackets will premiere on November 20th, with new episodes airing weekly on Fridays following episode 1. For the past three seasons, Yellowjackets has kept audiences wondering what the truth is behind the forces in the wilderness, keeping the teenage Yellowjackets trapped in the forest for months. However, in the upcoming installment, the team is finally heading home, and things won't be what they remembered.

How the series balances the dual timelines and builds to the shocking twists Yellowjackets is known for is part of the fun of watching the show. The adult versions of the characters are just as compelling, with Melanie Lynskey giving one of her all-time best performances as Shauna. There are still a lot of questions to be answered by the show's final season, and many fans will be tuning in to see if Yellowjackets can stick the landing with the series finale.

4 Percy Jackson And The Olympians (2023–)

Based on the beloved middle-grade adventure series by Rick Riordan, Disney+'s Percy Jackson and the Olympians has finally delivered the screen adaptation the books always deserved. Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 will bring the third installment of the series, The Titan's Curse, to life, seeing Percy (Walker Scobell), Annabeth (Leah Jeffries), and Grover (Aryan Simhadri) face bigger challenges and get older.

With a tight weekly release schedule that will see episodes 1 and 2 drop on November 20th, 3 and 4 on November 27th, 5 and 6 on December 4th, and 7 and 8 on December 11th, Percy Jackson and the Olympians promises to be one of the biggest shows of the late fall. The Titan's Curse features a pivotal storyline for the series as a whole and will change how viewers see the characters. New secrets will be revealed, and Percy and Annabeth's relationship will evolve.

3 Black Doves (2024–)

Season 2 Premieres On Netflix On November 5th, 2026

Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw are at their best in Black Doves, one of the many brilliant political thrillers that Netflix has made over the past few years. It doesn't come as a surprise that Netflix quickly renewed the series for season 2, which will be released on November 5th, with all six episodes available to stream. Knightley and Whishaw will be back to reprise their roles, with new additions like Ambika Mod and Neve Campbell joining the cast.

The best thriller TV shows capture the atmospheric tension that draws audiences into the world of Black Doves. Thanks to the compelling spy-for-hire premise and the outstanding cast, Black Doves was able to stand out compared to the many espionage action series that are competing for the attention of audiences. The show received near-universal critical acclaim, and now must live up to the standard set by season 1.

2 The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power (2022–)

Season 3 Premieres On Prime Video On November 11th, 2026

One of the best fantasy TV shows of the 2020s, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has been compelling yet controversial from the start. The first four episodes will drop on Prime Video on November 11th, with episodes 5 and 6 airing on November 18th, and 7 and 8 on November 25th. It will be interesting to see how this rollout affects viewership for The Rings of Power, as it's a happy medium between airing weekly and being completely bingeable.

The Rings of Power has sparked a lot of discussion for its interpretation of Tolkien's lore and how the prequel series changes the canon. However, this is part of the fun of watching The Rings of Power. Even the most die-hard Tolkien fan can't predict what will come next in the high fantasy show, as new wizards are introduced and characters' true identities are revealed. Season 4 is already in development, so audiences can rest assured that The Rings of Power season 3 will keep us guessing.

1 The Hunting Wives (2025–)

Season 2 Premieres On Netflix On November 26th, 2026

Sophie and Margo laughing in The Hunting Wives

All eight episodes of The Hunting Wives season 2 will drop on Netflix on November 26th, Thanksgiving Day in the U.S., giving fans plenty of time to dive into the drama and mysteries of Maple Brook. After the jaw-dropping cliffhanger that The Hunting Wives season 1 ended on, it's been agony waiting to find out what will happen to Sophie (Brittany Snow) and Margo (Malin Akerman) next. Based on the book of the same name by May Cobb, the original novel is a standalone.

This means that whatever Netflix has planned for The Hunting Wives season 2 will be a brand new story from the minds of the series' writers. With The Hunting Wives season 3 already in production, Netflix appears confident in the long-term success of the series following the explosive popularity of season 1. Since The Hunting Wives captured our attention because of its melodrama and shocking twists, it's exciting to consider how Netflix's hit show will raise the stakes in its sophomore outing.
