Indian pair Declan Gonsalves and Anas Baig lost both of their teqball men’s doubles Group B matches at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya on Thursday.

The duo started their group stage campaign with a 0-2 defeat against Vietnam’s side, Truong Giang Ba and Anh Khoa Le. It was followed by another 0-2 loss to South Korea’s team of Junsuk Lee and Taebeen Lee.

With upsetting defeats in both fixtures, Gonsalves and Baig have ended the group stage without a win.

Teqball is one of the six events making their debut at the Asiad. The quadrennial event features 43 standard sports alongside these new disciplines that also include freestyle BMX, mixed martial arts, padel, surfing, and virtual taekwondo.
