Chris Brown and Usher are bringing the R&B Tour to Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium for a record-breaking five nights, but the mini-residency got off to a rocky start with their first show on Thursday night (Nov. 5).

Per The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the concert started over two hours late. Brown and Usher never hit the stage together and their sets were cut short as the show was pressed against the midnight curfew. T.I. and Young Dro were the lone special guests for the night.

Breezy attempted to calm the storm and defend himself from the backlash. “Internet [cap],” Brown wrote on his IG Story early Friday (Nov. 6). “Don’t fall for it.”

When Usher made it on stage, he told fans, “Welcome to my show,” which only enflamed rumors of a rift with CB.

“After this tour Chris need to stay far away from Usher. Dead ass,” one fan wrote on X. “Throw that my ‘big bro’ shit in the 🚮.”

Another added: “They need to go ahead and wrap this tour up.”

There will be four more shows to get back on track in Atlanta for Usher and Brown. The duo’s next chance comes on Friday (Nov. 6), which will be followed by shows on Sunday (Nov. 8), Tuesday (Nov. 10) and Wednesday (Nov. 11) before the trek heads to Los Angeles.

The co-headlining tour has been a cash cow thus far, as the run was the highest-grossing and best-selling trek of September. According to Billboard Boxscore, the R&B Tour banked grossed $77.4 million and sold 423,000 tickets across 10 shows in the month.

Billboard has reached out to Live Nation and reps for Chris Brown and Usher.
