Chiefs should have kept Ntwari to replace Petersen, says Shongwe

Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper William Shonge believes Amakhosi should have kept Fiacre Ntwari this season to push Brandon Petersen.
Amakhosi have conceded silly goals this season with Petersen being blamed.
Shonge feels the Glamour Boys should have kept Ntwari instead of loaning him to Kruger United.
“For me, that is very important because for him to be stuck there, it’s not the best situation.”
“But for that other goalkeeper [Ntwari], I think maybe he should have been around this season,” Shongwe told FARPost.
Petersen feeling the heat as Chiefs fans demand answers
With four mistakes which led to goals, another Chiefs legend has called for the goalkeeper to be replaced ahead of their next match with Golden Arrows.
Speaking on Soccerbeat, Brian Baloyi argued that Petersen should have been dropped after his early-season errors.
“By now, I think it’s come to a point where it’s too much. It’s a lot of schoolboy errors. It’s okay sometimes when you make those errors and they don’t end in a resulting goal,” he said.
“Unfortunately, this season they’re resulting in goals and costing Chiefs valuable points. So for me, I believe it’s time that he smells the bench.
“I think by now, surely Petersen should be on the bench,” the Chiefs legend added.
It remains to be seen if Amakhosi head coach Fernando Da Cruz will replace his captain. Bruce Bvuma or Renaldo Leaner are yet to make an appearance this season but will be keen to replace Petersen in goals.
