The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is moving forward.
In an interview with E! News, Anna Kendrick spoke about the upcoming adaptation of the beloved Taylor Jenkins Reid novel and gave a big update on the progress of the movie. Netflix will be adapting the movie, with Kendrick in the director's chair, as she promises that she's "thinking about the fans all the time." When discussing the progress of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo movie, Kendrick stated:
"We're still in the script phase. So I cannot accidentally say something that will get me in so much trouble. I'm thinking about the fans all the time. Whenever somebody comes up to me and is like, ‘Oh, my best friend or my agent or my so-and-so is like, you don't understand. They're obsessed with that book.’ I'm like, 'Give me their number.'
I want to talk to them because I want to know exactly what gets at the heart of it for people, because this book is so moving, and I, of course, have a big task ahead of me, and I am desperate to get it right."
