Premier League star player pleads guilty over car accident

Translate

Premier League star player Jordan Pickford has pleaded guilty to causing a car accident on the 14th of April 2026.

England and Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has pleaded guilty to careless driving after a court heard that his actions behind the wheel nearly caused a collision involving two other vehicles.

The 32-year-old was driving his £200,000 Lamborghini in Knutsford, Cheshire, on April 14 when he allegedly failed to obey a give-way sign, forcing two motorists to brake sharply to avoid a crash.

According to details presented in court, Pickford then accelerated away from the scene before he was later stopped by police. The incident subsequently resulted in a criminal prosecution for driving without due care or attention.

No collision was reported, but prosecutors said the Everton goalkeeper's driving created a dangerous situation for other road users.

Pickford has since pleaded guilty to the charge of driving without due care or attention and is expected to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on December 7 for the next stage of the case.

The goalkeeper is one of Everton's most experienced players, having made 336 appearances for the Premier League club. He has also earned 92 caps for England, establishing himself as the national team's long-standing first-choice goalkeeper.

The December hearing is expected to determine the punishment Pickford will receive following his guilty plea.
