As the third-quarter 2026 earnings season unfolds, investors are assessing valuations across the U.S. communication services sector, which includes telecommunications providers, cable operators and media companies.

A quantitative screen highlights a limited set of opportunities in the sector, with only three communication services stocks earning A-range valuation grades from Seeking Alpha.

Charter Communications (CHTR) tops the list with an A+ valuation grade. The cable and satellite company has a market capitalization of $18.28 billion and a Hold Quant Rating of 3.13. Lumen Technologies (LUMN) follows with an A valuation grade, while Comcast (CMCSA) rounds out the list with an A- grade. Comcast, an integrated telecommunications services provider, has the largest market capitalization among the three at $81.05 billion.

Seeking Alpha's valuation grade measures how attractively a stock is priced relative to its fundamentals, with A+ indicating the most undervalued rating and F the most overvalued. Although all three companies have A-range grades, the ratings reflect their relative valuations under the platform's quantitative framework and do not guarantee future share-price gains.

Here is the list:

  1. Charter Communications, Inc. (CHTR), Valuation grade: A+

  2. Lumen Technologies, Inc. (LUMN), Valuation grade: A

  3. Comcast Corporation (CMCSA), Valuation grade: A-

Communication Services ETFs: (XLC), (VOX), (IYZ), (RSPC), and (XTL).
