Uhuru Kenyatta Invites Muthoni Babytop, Wilibroda for Birthday Cake in Live Radio Exchange

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta received birthday wishes from Kameme FM presenter Muthoni Babytop and Milele FM host Wilibroda on Monday, October 26, 2026, during a light-hearted live radio conversation.

The exchange began when Kameme FM presenter Gladys Muthoni Njoroge, popularly known as Muthoni Babytop or Wa Kirumba, called the former president during the station’s Canjamuka show to wish him a happy birthday.

After exchanging greetings, Babytop conveyed what she described as the continued affection Kenyatta enjoyed among Kenyans, particularly those from the Mount Kenya region.

“Long live our king. We miss you; we love you. We wish you good health, and may all your desires come to pass. We wish you a very, very happy birthday. Now, please send a message to our people from Mount Kenya because we love you so much,” she told him.

In response, Kenyatta thanked the presenter for remembering his birthday, adding that he continued to think about the people and pray for the country.

“On my part, I want to thank you so much for remembering me today. I always think about you, and I always pray for our country. We thank God for the gift of life. I pray that our people continue loving one another and remain united,” the former president said.

Wilibroda Asks Uhuru for Birthday Cake

The conversation took a humorous turn when Babytop moved from the Kameme FM studio to Milele FM, where she linked up with presenter Jacquey Nyaminde, popularly known as Wilibroda.

Babytop handed over the phone, allowing Wilibroda to speak directly to Kenyatta and deliver her birthday wishes during the live broadcast.

After expressing her affection for the former president, Wilibroda made a playful request for a birthday treat.

“Happy birthday, dear Uhuru. Invite us for cake, sir,” she said.

Kenyatta responded by inviting the presenters to his family home in Ichaweri, Kiambu County, suggesting they could join him for the celebration.

“Come to Ichaweri. The cake is there,” he replied.

The response prompted more birthday wishes from Wilibroda, who said she was doing well and was pleased that the week had started on a positive note.

“I am doing well, and we are on the show. We are happy that the week has started well. We are happy that God has added one more year to your life, and may He add many more years to it,” she told him.

Uhuru Calls for National Unity

Kenyatta thanked God for the gift of life and used the opportunity to call for unity among Kenyans, urging citizens to resist division and work together for the country’s future.

“Amen, amen. We are thankful, and we pray that our country may be blessed and that its citizens may not be divided but remain united. This is our country, and we will take it forward together. That is what I believe, and I know God will bless us,” he said.
