Scott Foley To Play U.S. President In Hulu’s ‘Young Americans’ Pilot

EXCLUSIVE: Scott Foley has joined the cast of Hulu’s drama pilot Young Americans as a series regular. Foley will play Judd Burchfield, the President of the United States and leader of the free world.

President Burchfield is a principled politician who rose to office by trusting his heartland instincts. His steady hand has been shaken by the tragic death of his firstborn daughter. As he struggles to hold his family and the country together, an old political rivalry is about to become deeply personal.

From writers and executive producers Chris Hutton and Eddie O’Keefe, the show’s logline reads as follows: As the children of the nation’s elite battle it out at Capitol Crest Academy in Washington, D.C., their teenage dramas begin to mirror the larger political games of their parents. Amidst the secrets, scandals, and deadly ambitions, a forbidden romance between two students from opposing political families threatens to escalate tensions to a breaking point.
