The Weekender

London’s social set descended on the capital for another glittering week of parties, from DJ takeovers to album launches.

The likes of Pixie Geldof, Saffron Hocking, Rafferty Law, John Glacier and Lil Silva joined for the one-night only event in collaboration with PATRÓN Tequila.

They enjoyed bespoke PATRÓN serves including Mike’s Margarita, a spicy pineapple twist on the classic PATRÓN Spicy Margarita created especially for the night.

Earlier in the evening, Skinner joined longtime collaborator Murkage Dave and BBC broadcaster Ellen E. Jones for an intimate conversation unpacking his creative process.

Across town, fashion insiders headed for an intimate cocktail reception celebrating the launch of luxury publisher Assouline’s new coffee table book, The Book of Iconic Shoes.

Rosie Fortescue, Yomi Adegoke, Brett Staniland, Felicity Hayward, and Toni-Blaze Ibekwe rubbed shoulders at Maison Assouline in Piccadilly, marking the latest chapter in luxury resale platform FASHIONPHILE’s expansion into the UK.

Written by fashion editor Dylan Kelly, The Book of Iconic Shoes explores 25 defining footwear designs, from Manolo Blahnik Hangisis and Prada Monoliths to Christian Louboutin So Kates, tracing the stories and cultural moments that turned them into icons.

Across 280 pages, the book brings together designer sketches, campaigns, archival imagery and street style alongside insight from FASHIONPHILE’s luxury experts, creating a visual history of the shoes that have shaped modern fashion.

Guests enjoyed bespoke cocktails inspired by iconic footwear, including The Tabi Twist, made with Hennessy VS, maple verjus, grapefruit, vetiver gris and truffle honey, and The Red Sole Royale, combining Citadelle Rouge Gin, citrus, Sauvignon gomme, red vineyard peach bitters and Champagne.

Canapés included crispy rice with burnt avocado and spicy emulsion, Scottish langoustine tacos, braised short rib with crispy hash brown and black garlic, and whipped goat’s cheese with black fig. Guests finished with ruby chocolate cheesecake and bespoke shoes and FASHIONPHILE cookies.

Elsewhere, Tinie Tempah discussed his first album in nine years getting its own art exhibition.

He collaborated with artist David King Reuben, whose artwork for Tinie’s forthcoming album The Night’s Not Dead will be exhibited at W1 Curates on Oxford Street next month.

“I want people to treat it as something precious, which is why I felt it would be great to collaborate with an artist,” he explained at Culture Collective: Ibiza Art Weekend, presented by W1 Curates and The Night League.

W1 Curates turns the three-storey façade of FLANNELS into a vast digital canvas, with bespoke LED screens taking contemporary art directly onto Oxford Street. Inside, W1 Immersive’s floor-to-ceiling digital screens surround visitors with imagery, using technology developed to reproduce artists’ colours with precision.

Released on 16 October, The Night’s Not Dead is Tinie’s first album in nine years, following Youth in 2017. It traces a night out from getting ready to the dancefloor and the search for an afterparty.
