Mandaadi Box Office Collection Day 2: Witnesses 35% Growth, Beats Sardar 2 In Clash

Soori’s Mandaadi was not considered a major box office clash threat until its trailer was unveiled. The sea-based sports drama was released in theatres along with Sardar 2. Soori turned lead actor very recently with Viduthalai. The recently released Mandaadi is among his biggest films, with reports that the actor charged 25 crore as his fee. Now, the film is seeing impressive numbers and positive reviews from audiences.

How Much Did Mandaadi Earn In 2 Days?

On its opening day, the sports action drama earned 4.85 crore net with nearly 300 screens in India. It beat Sardar 2 in its opening episode despite the Karthi-starrer having the franchise advantage. Meanwhile, after the initial reviews, the Soori-starrer won the audience’s favor. On Day 2, the film earned 6.55 crore, 35% higher than its opening-day collection.

The net total of Mandaadi after two days stands at 11.4 crore, which equals 13.45 crore gross. Overseas, the film has grossed only 2.5 crore so far. This brings the film’s worldwide gross to 15.95 crore.

This led more people to choose to watch Mandaadi over Sardar 2 on opening day. After the FDFS shows for both films, Mandaadi secured favorable reviews while Sardar 2 left audiences unimpressed. Despite having the franchise advantage, Sardar 2 saw a sharp 45% decline on Day 2, earning just 2.5 crore. Currently, Mandaadi is ahead of Sardar 2 by a whopping 64%. It is to be seen how both films perform over the opening weekend.
