Indonesian beauty brands record $2.2M in UAE trade fair deals

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia recorded $2.23 million in potential transactions at Beautyworld Dubai 2026 in the United Arab Emirates, reflecting growing global demand for the country's personal care products, the Trade Ministry reported Tuesday.
"The Indonesian Pavilion at Beautyworld Dubai 2026 was a strategic move, given that Dubai is a global beauty industry hub with the highest per capita expenditure in the world," said Fajarini Puntodewi, Director General of National Export Development.
"Indonesia's participation was aimed at enhancing the image of its beauty and personal care products while sending a message that the country is ready to compete in line with global standards and market trends," Puntodewi added.
The 45-square-meter national pavilion featured six Indonesian companies: PT Sensatia Botanics, PT Bintang Mas Triyasa, PT Aroma Prima Livindo, PT Mirael Global Manggala, PT Sumber Kosmetika Indah, and PT Sadewi Ardhi Natha.
Inaugurating the pavilion, Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Judha Nugraha noted that "various international exhibitions in Dubai attract visitors from the Middle East and other parts of the world."
He highlighted that UAE investment policies, including 100 percent foreign company ownership, offer strong opportunities for domestic firms to expand in the region.
Bilateral trade between Indonesia and the UAE totaled $4.31 billion from January to August 2026, with Indonesian exports reaching $2.38 billion.
In 2025, total bilateral trade reached $6.42 billion, driven by $1.57 billion in Indonesian personal care exports, including cosmetics, soaps, and fragrances.
