The Odyssey digital release date revealed: here's when you can watch Christopher Nolan epic at home

It's been over a month since Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, the first feature film to be shot entirely in IMAX, hit the big screen, and it's been doing massive numbers and receiving a ton of acclaim.
But for those of you who fancy watching (or rewatching) the epic film on your telly, tablet, or even phone, its digital release date has just been confirmed.
Universal has confirmed that The Odyssey will be available to watch at home on 17 November. That's specifically the US date, and while the UK date hasn't been announced at the time of writing, films are usually released day-and-date or with a one-to-three day difference over here.

Good news for physical fans, too, as the disc version of the film will also be released on the same day.
Earlier this month, The Odyssey set the record as Nolan's biggest film at the box office, surpassing Oppenheimer and The Dark Knight Rises.
And just this week, the film overtook Deadpool & Wolverine to be crowned the highest-grossing R-rated film at the box office of all time, currently sitting at $1.368 billion.
In terms of the biggest films of this year, The Odyssey is in second place behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day. But considering the Spidey flick has made over $2.3 billion in less time, it's highly unlikely Nolan's epic will ever catch up.

In Digital Spy's review of The Odyssey, we wrote: "If you're slightly unsure when The Odyssey starts whether it's a journey you'll invest in, you'll be fully convinced by the end that you've just watched one of the best movies of the year – and one of the best of Nolan's career."
The Odyssey is out in cinemas now and will be released on disc and digital on 17 November – in the US, at least.
