Consumers may expect a round of rollback for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) this week.

LPG supplier Solane said in an advisory that it will implement a decrease of P4.55 per kilogram, inclusive of value-added tax (VAT), effective October 27, 2026.

This amount is equivalent to a P50 reduction for every 11-kilogram LPG tank, according to the supplier.

In September, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos ordered the suspension of the collection of excise tax on LPG and kerosene.

Marcos issued Executive Order No. 125 in the wake of the high price of crude oil in the international market, which drove local prices of petroleum products to exorbitant levels. —LDF, GMA News
