Kenyan musician Stephen Otieno, popularly known as Stevo Simple Boy, has announced his official separation from his partner Brenda after DNA test results confirmed he is not the biological father of her child, Dragon Junior.
In a statement released on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the rapper shared that he chose to address the situation publicly after receiving the medical findings, noting the difficulty of the outcome while emphasizing his desire for an amicable split.
“Following the DNA test results, I wish to officially announce that Brenda and I are no longer together as a couple,” Stevo stated. “The results have been difficult to process, but I have chosen to handle this matter with dignity and respect for everyone involved.”
Medical Results Revealed
The announcement was accompanied by a video showing the musician receiving his test results from Dr. Peter Ngumba at Microafia Healthcare.
During the consultation, Dr. Ngumba explained that genetic samples submitted under the names Stephen Otieno Senior and Stephen Otieno Junior revealed significant genetic discrepancies.
“Based on the DNA profile generated from the samples submitted of Stephen Otieno Senior and Stephen Otieno Junior, Stephen Otieno, you are not the biological father; mismatches were observed in 11 samples tested,” Dr. Ngumba explained.
Stevo extended his gratitude to the healthcare provider for their professional service while asking the public and his fanbase for space as he processes the personal development.
“I ask my fans and the public to respect my privacy as I navigate this chapter of my life. I sincerely appreciate Microafia Healthcare for conducting the DNA test and providing the results.”
Focus Shift to Music Career
Despite the emotional setback, the artist maintained that his primary focus remains centered on his music projects and professional growth.
“My focus remains on my music, my career, and building a better future,” he added, thanking his supporters for their understanding and continued backing.
