Watch: Burnham says UK could go 'all the way' towards rejoining EU

Prime Minister Andy Burnham has told the BBC that rejoining the EU is among options the government could look at.

Speaking to Radio 4's Today programme after delivering his first Labour conference speech as PM on Tuesday, Burnham said he would try to "find consensus" in the country on one option to clarify the UK's long-term position.

"There are clearly options that need to be considered, and we have to look at what is doable and what would be the pros and cons of each," he added.

Asked what the options might look like, Burnham said "we could stay as we are, that's definitely an option, if people think this is the right place to stay."
