Three men charged with murder after fatal shooting in Newham

Three more men have been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Masum Miah, Metropolitan Police has confirmed.

Officers were called to St Bartholomew’s Road in Newham at about 3am on 18 August following reports of gunshots, and Masum Miah was pronounced dead at the scene.

Metropolitan Police has confirmed on Wednesday that Leonel Friman Intasse, aged 18 and of High Street, Sittingbourne, Renars Ludins,aged 47 and of no fixed address, and Mihai Stancu, aged 36 and of Charlton Crescent, Barking have all been charged with murder.

Intasse will next appear at the Old Bailey on 25 September, while Ludins and Stancu will appear at the same court on 17 May, 2027.

Sergiu Leahu, 40 and of no fixed address, was previously charged with murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Masum’s family as they come to terms with his tragic death.

“We are continuing to appeal to anyone with information that could assist our enquiries to come forward.”

Anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has information, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference CAD 797/18AUG.
