PlayStation Plus Gets Free Perfect 10/10 Open-World Game

In recent months, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members have been spoiled for choice when it comes to free games. But not all games are made equal and knowing which games are worth investing your time in can be a challenge. Thankfully, one recent game that was added to the subscription-based library seems to have won over almost everyone who has played it. For those who haven't taken the plunge and played this 10/10 masterpiece, I only have one piece of advice: fortune favors the bold.

Thanks to an overwhelmingly positive response on Reddit, it's now easy to recommend this amazing immersive RPG to all PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members. The second in the series, sees our plucky adventurer in pursuit of his father's sword while trying to keep your friend and royal pain in the rear master from getting you killed. Where the game shines, though, is in its hundreds of hidden systems that organically work together to provide the player with the most realistic medieval RPG experience that surpasses all others.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has been available on the PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra tier since mid-August and fans can't stop raving about how realistic an experience it is. Sure, you will spend a lot of your playthrough feeling powerless and overwhelmed, but if you grit your teeth and carry on, the sense of reward and accomplishment knows no bounds. Building yourself up to where you can take down multiple enemies with your sword skills feels earned and incredibly satisfying.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 goes beyond just a hard survival combat game though. The script is razor sharp and often filled with unexpected humor. The NPCs and, indeed, the world around you, react to your actions and, best of all, it's not a God-powered fantasy game. You feel human and vulnerable and need to be smart about your actions. Fans on Reddit can't praise Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 enough. One commentor said the following about immersion:

Honestly one of the most immersive games I’ve played for all the details like this.

Robbed one house, no one saw me enter or leave, never got a fine. Expected behavior for most games.

Broke into another house, guy inside saw me and kicked me out. No fine yet. Just a warning. I snuck back in, stole a thing, didn’t get caught when stealing the thing. But I still got a fine. Why? Because the dude was smart enough to correlate me breaking in his house moments before, to the missing item, even though he didn’t actually see me take it.

While another praised KCD2 for it's attention to detail:

If you give money to NPCs, they will spend it on better clothes and gear.

Game is full of amazing little details like that.

Regardless of whether you've played the first game in the series or not, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 offers a fairly stand-alone experience with gameplay systems tweaked and refined to be more enjoyable than ever before. Sure, knowing some of the characters prior to playing helps, but it isn't essential and won't affect your enjoyment of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. And, if you're worried you're missing out, fear not! Kingdom Come Deliverance is also available for free for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members, so you can play through Henry of Skalitz adventures from start to finish.

There are some amazing titles available for free on PlayStation Plus but few are true 10/10 open world masterpieces. If you've already spent all your money on a pre-order for the GTA 6 collectors box, then getting to play a 100+ hour adventure for free might be the perfect way to pass some time while you wait for Grand Theft Auto VI to drop on November 19, 2026. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is a must-play for all RPG fans and no . . . I'm not yanking your pizzle! Audentes fortuna iuvat!
