Sydney Sweeney's Sleepy Hollow looks to have found its Ichabod Crane.
Inspired by Washington Irving's iconic horror short story, the new film is being written and directed by Pet Sematary: Bloodlines' Lindsey Anderson Beer, and is adapted from her forthcoming novel reimagining, in which Katrina Van Tassel is the central character wrapped up in a supernatural love triangle. Development on the new Sleepy Hollow was officially confirmed by Sony in June 2026, with Sweeney also producing through new newly-launched Honey Trap banner alongside Margot Robbie's LuckyChap.
Now, as reported by Deadline, Sweeney's Sleepy Hollow reboot is currently in final negotiations with Nicholas Galitzine to join the horror film. The Masters of the Universe star is reported to be joining as iconic character Ichabod Crane, with Sony not yet having commented on the casting as of the time of writing.
