The 20th edition of the Asian Games will begin on September 19 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Seven athletes out of the 501 travelling to Japan will be taking part in tennis events in this edition of the continental showpiece.
In 2023, the Indian tennis contingent clinched two medals. While the mixed doubles pair of Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale won gold, the men’s doubles duo of Ramkumar Ramanathan and Saketh Myneni grabbed silver.
Just like the previous edition, the upcoming Asiad will serve as a qualifier for the men’s and women’s singles events for the Los Angeles Olympics 2028.
