The Netherlands take on Serbia this evening in their final match of the international break.

Xavi has taken over the reins from Ronald Koeman, and he remains unbeaten in his start as the Oranje’s new head coach.

The Spaniard has overseen two draws and a win since taking charge, with a draw against Germany opening his account before a 2-1 win over Serbia, thanks to goals from Mexx Meerdink, who notched a brace in Belgrade.

A 2-2 draw in Greece followed, with Virgil van Dijk and Tijjani Reijnders on the scoresheet, with the latter notching late on to snatch a share of the spoils after Fotis Iaonnidis and Giorgos Masouras had put the Greeks 2-0 up in the first half.

Now, they take on the Serbians for a second time in this international window, as Veljko Paunovic’s side visit Eindhoven.

The Netherlands currently sit second in League A2, two off Greece who top the table and one point clear of Jurgen Klopp’s Germany.

Serbia remain winless and without a point so far, but they will be hoping to snare at least a draw at the Phillips Stadion.
