Ashaiman police demolish suspected criminal hideouts at Fitter-Line

Translate

The Ashaiman District Police Command has demolished structures identified as suspected criminal hideouts at Fitter-Line following a swoop aimed at curbing criminal activities in the area ahead of the Christmas festivities.

The operation, conducted at about 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, was led by District Commander DSP Orlando Joseph Adzokpa and involved 30 police personnel.

According to the police, the exercise targeted suspected criminals believed to be terrorising residents in and around Ashaiman, as part of efforts to dismantle hideouts and improve public safety.

The suspects reportedly fled upon seeing the police team approaching, leaving officers with no arrests to make. The team, however, demolished the structures identified as hideouts during the operation.

The exercise ended at about 8:40 a.m. without any incident.

The command said the operation would continue as part of measures to combat crime and enable residents to go about their daily activities and conduct legitimate businesses without fear or intimidation before, during and after the Christmas season.
