‘Murderbot’ Adds Steve Buscemi, Wanda Sykes, Patton Oswalt & Many More To Season 2 Cast

More than a year after it was renewed, Apple TV is gearing up for Season 2 of Emmy-nominated sci-fi/ comedy series Murderbot, adding a slew of new cast. Joining the upcoming season are Steve Buscemi, Wanda Sykes, Patton Oswalt, Martha Plimpton, Bridget Everett, Michael Sheen, Tramell Tillman, Blair Underwood and Brendan Hunt to name a few. They will join returning series star and executive producer Alexander Skarsgård, along Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones and Tamara Podemski, as well as recurring guest stars Clark Gregg, John Cho, DeWanda Wise and Jack McBrayer.

Based on the first novella in Martha Wells’ book series, Murderbot is a sci-fi thriller/comedy about a self-hacking security construct who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients, played by Skarsgård.

Created by Chris and Paul Weitz, in Season 1, Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe. No details yet on the storyline for Season 2.
