Singer James Blunt has revealed that comedian Romesh Ranganathan has donated to his charity of choice after The Celebrity Traitors finale banishment.

He also put rumours that the pair were “feuding” to bed and said they get on “very well”, describing the comedian as a “very sweet human being”.

Blunt, 52, appeared in the latest series of the BBC spin-off show and made it all the way to the final until he was banished during the very last roundtable by fellow faithfuls, Ranganathan and Sebastian “Bash” Croft.

The winning pair split the £83,000 prize money between their two charities, Choose Love and the Refugee Council.

Blunt said that Ranganathan, 48, has since also donated money to his charity of choice, a marine conservation organisation called Blue Marine Foundation.

Speaking on Hits Radio, Blunt said: “Romesh is a very very sweet human being, and I promise he and I get on very very well.”

When asked if he donated some of the winning prize money to his charity of choice, Blunt said: “He has done.

“I was going to save that for a conversation I was having with him, but you know, if you’re going to mention it, he absolutely has.

“It’s called the Blue Marine Foundation.”
