Fury vs Joshua press conference: Start time and live stream for London face-off

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have arrived in London, with today’s much-anticipated first press conference set to go ahead as planned after all.

Both Wednesday’s face-off and the heavyweight super-fight in general had looked to be in real peril ever since last week’s long-awaited announcement that arguably the biggest bout in British boxing history was finally booked for December 11 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

The latest potentially significant barrier to a showdown that has been more than a decade in the making is an escalating feud between rival promoters Eddie Hearn and Dana White.

Hearn - Joshua’s promoter throughout his illustrious career - was furious after the official fight announcement from Saudi powerbroker Turki Alalshikh confirmed the involvement of UFC president and Zuffa Boxing chief White, with whom he has been at loggerheads ever since Conor Benn’s shock defection from Matchroom earlier this year.

Hearn has claimed that Joshua’s contract for the fight actually prohibits White from being involved at all - a stipulation which Fury said he had removed from his own deal.

The problem seemed to have the fight on the verge of collapse already as boxing fans lamented an all-too-familiar frustrating story in this long-time rivalry, but for now an accord has been reached and White has confirmed that he will not attend Wednesday’s press conference.

However, sparks are still sure to fly as Fury and Joshua get into the same room for the first time since Joshua angered Fury by refusing his invitation to join him in the ring after the self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’s’ comeback victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in April.

The Fury vs Joshua press conference is due to get under way from approximately 5:45pm BST on Wednesday evening (September 30).

It is being held at British Airways ARC at Olympia in west London. Doors open at 4:30pm. Exact timings are subject to potential change.
