Blink-182 release throwback Pac-Man game to celebrate 25 years of ‘Take Of Your Pants And Jacket’

Blink-182 have continued their collaboration with arcade gaming icon Pac-Man with a free-to-play throwback game.

Earlier this year, Blink-182 unveiled a range of Pac-Man-inspired merch at San Diego Comic Con to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their pop-punk classic ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’.

A limited-edition Blink-182 x Pac-Man Comic Con vinyl edition of ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’, produced by Blood Records, was available alongside a Blink-182 version of the Pac-Man x 7-Eleven t-shirt bassist Mark Hoppus wore during the band’s comeback set at Coachella Festival 2023.

Today (September 25) Blink-182 have launched their take on Pac-Man via their nostalgic 2001-inspired website. Your goal is to eat as power pellets as possible and grab the special ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’ icons while avoiding the ghosts. Check it out here. The band also appear in the latest episode of animated short Pac-Man: Snack Breaks.

In June, Blink-182 released a 25th anniversary edition of ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’ on streaming, which features the 13 original tracks and 6 b-sides. A vinyl release is also available to pre-order.

Blink-182’s last album ‘One More Time…’ was released in 2023 and the band have already confirmed some huge European shows for next summer. Blink-182 will headline Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park and Rock For People next June, and play a trio of their own headline shows in Berlin, Paris and Milan the same month. Fans are also speculating that the pop-punk group will headline Download Festival for the first time next year.
