Nacua doubtful as Rams turn focus to WR's return in Week 4

LOS ANGELES -- The Rams are targeting a Week 4 return for wide receiver Puka Nacua, who is dealing with what coach Sean McVay called soreness in his groin.
McVay said Nacua will not practice Friday and will be listed as doubtful to play Sunday night against the Denver Broncos. Nacua has not practiced since Sept. 17; the next day he was added to the injury report with a hip injury, and he did not play in Monday's win over the New York Giants.
"If he doesn't go this week, the expectations are, unless there's a setback, that he'll be good for next week," McVay said.
The Rams play the Eagles in Philadelphia in Week 4.
McVay said there is no consideration to placing Nacua on injured reserve, which would require him to miss at least four more games. McVay said earlier in the week that the Rams are being cautious with Nacua because of the position he plays.
"When you're a skill player and you're really trying to hit high-speed yards and really open up and you feel just ... it's like some of the things that can almost be like pre-hernia is kind of what he's feeling," McVay said Wednesday.
McVay has said Nacua's injury is not related to the psoas injury that caused him to miss time in August.
