NFL Trade Targets: 4 Teams That Could Become Sellers Before November 10

Three weeks. That is all the time Los Angeles, Indianapolis and Miami have before the November 10 deadline, and none of them is winning. The Chargers are 0-6. The Colts just fired general manager Chris Ballard. The Dolphins have yet to celebrate a victory. Front offices in that position usually ask one question: what can we get for the veterans who will not be here next year? Rival executives are already dialing. Even 4-2 Jacksonville is listening. A few aging stars, one frustrated receiver and a lineman who wants to stay could soon pack their lockers.

Khalil Mack Of The Los Angeles Chargers And DeForest Buckner Of The Indianapolis Colts Offer Contenders Pass Rush Help

DeForest Buckner has made his mood public. After Sunday's loss to the Tennessee Titans, the Colts tackle told reporters, "I'm sick and tired of the same song and dance every year." He is 32, plays on an expiring contract and has four sacks and nine quarterback pressures. A 2027 fourth-round pick feels like a fair ask. The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers could both use a tackle who bends a pocket.

Khalil Mack is the quieter case, and maybe the better one. The 35-year-old Chargers edge rusher has three sacks, five tackles for loss and 11 pressures. He signed a one-year, $18 million deal, and $10 million of it already went out as a signing bonus, so a buyer inherits a smaller bill. General manager Joe Hortiz keeps telling callers no. Winless teams tend to change their minds. The Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers are the natural fits, and a conditional fourth-rounder should get it done.

Brian Thomas Jr. Of The Jacksonville Jaguars And Zach Sieler Of The Miami Dolphins Present Very Different Trade Cases

Jacksonville is not blowing anything up. This is more like a closet cleanout. Brian Thomas Jr. was a Pro Bowler as a rookie, yet he has just nine catches for 105 yards this season, and sixth-round rookie Josh Cameron has outproduced him. ESPN's Dan Graziano wrote, "There are a lot of people around the league who believe Thomas could have a new home by the trade deadline."

Arizona already sold Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Houston Texans, so the market exists. The Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders need receivers, and a second-round pick plus a sixth is a realistic price.

Zach Sieler wants nothing to do with the chatter. "I know people say rumors or talk whatever this time of year, but I'm here focused playing games here, win as a Dolphin, man," he said. The math argues the other way.

Ten million dollars of his salary becomes fully guaranteed on the third day of the 2027 league year, and a post-June 1 release before then saves Miami $13.2 million. New general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan has to weigh loyalty against that date. The Packers and Minnesota Vikings would happily take the call.
