Launched back in 2024 as a remake of the hit 2001 survival horror game, the Silent Hill 2 Remake is considered one of the best remakes of all time courtesy of stunning work by Bloober Team and its publisher, Konami Digital Entertainment. Not only that, but with the original Silent Hill 2 recently celebrating its 25th anniversary, there has never been a better time to get stuck into its faithful remake. Of course, you could also check out the original, but with the original Silent Hill games being a nightmare to play on modern-day platforms, the Silent Hill 2 Remake is probably your best bet, especially as it is now free to download for a limited time.

Taking around 15-20 hours to complete, or a bit more if you want to chase that 100%, Silent Hill 2 is considered one of the best survival horror games of all, telling the story of James Sunderland who returns to Silent Hill after being summoned back by his dead wife.

As such, the Silent Hill 2 Remake is the perfect way to experience the franchise for the first time, especially as it features one of the strongest stories. Pair that with updated graphics, visuals, and performance, and you have the recipe for success.
