Logan community gathers to remember drive-by shooting victim

Translate

The Logan community has gathered together for a silent reflection following the death of a young woman from a drive-by shooting.

Vana-Reese Schuster-Togiatau, 19, from Jimboomba, was shot in the head and neck at Fitzys Loganholme on October 24 and died in hospital days later.

Three men aged between 27 and 38 were also shot during the attack, when at least six bullets were fired from a car into a crowd of people gathered outside the hotel.

Members of the community were invited to Mandew Park in Brisbane's south on Monday evening to pay their respects.

Bouquets of flowers and messages were left at the base of a tree while members of the public stood in silence.

Logan Mayor Jon Raven was among those who paid tribute with flowers.

A fundraiser to support Ms Schuster-Togiatau's family has raised more than $76,000 since it was launched last week.

Police are yet to identify those involved in the shooting but have confirmed they are following several lines of inquiry.

Detective Inspector Ian Galpin confirmed last week that more than 80 detectives were involved in the investigation.
