The government affirmed its commitment to securing safe levels of foreign exchange reserves to safeguard strategic commodity needs, noting ongoing efforts to bolster strategic inventories through constant coordination with the Central Bank.
This came during Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly’s meeting on Sunday, September 20, 2026, with Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Governor Hassan Abdalla to follow up on priority economic files and monetary stability mechanisms.
The talks reviewed upcoming economic reform axes, including a joint national economic transition program, current national economic performance, inflation reduction coordination, and dollar liquidity inflows.
