Steven Bartlett has listed his Bishopscourt mansion in Cape Town for R189 million, more than double what he paid for it just two years ago. The house – Intaba Villa – is one of several prestigious Range Rover brand-experience houses that have also been used as the filming location for a German version of The Bachelor TV series.

Naturally, the mega-mansion has also featured on Top Billing’s luxury lifestyle TV programme and on multiple architectural design publications.

The three-storey, seven-bedroom smart home is located in the sprawling Constantia Valley, with stunning views of Table Mountain, Devil’s Peak, and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Bartlett is a UK podcaster, known for his series, The Diary of a CEO, in which he interviewed South African comedian Trevor Noah in 2024.

This week, a Bishopscourt property listing belonging to Steven Bartlett made headlines.

The R189 million property is located in the southern suburbs of Cape Town, in the Constantia Valley, on the slopes of Table Mountain.

According to Pam Golding Properties, the 7-bedroom, 9,5-bathroom residence spans three levels, offering breathtaking views of the majestic mountains beyond.

RANGE ROVER HOUSE

In 2024, the Bishopscourt house, called Intaba Villa, was unveiled as Africa’s first Range Rover House.

The VIP venue opened for an invitation-only event, with guests including media, influencers and existing customers, to showcase its new Range Rover SV Onyx Edition.

It’s also featured on a recent episode of Top Billing as well as the German version of The Bachelor.

‘PRESTIGIOUS NEIGHBOURHOOD’

According to property agents, Bishopscourt is one of South Africa’s most prestigious and in-demand residential neighbourhoods.

Seeff’s Francois Venter said: “It’s home to the US ambassador’s residence, Kearsney House, and attracts foreign embassies, consulates, international celebrities, and leading business and political figures.”

“Residents value the privacy and natural beauty, as well as the proximity to top schools like Bishops and St Mary’s, and the University of Cape Town.

“It’s also close to Kirstenbosch Gardens and the Constantia wine farms, which are global landmarks in their own right.”

According to statistics, properties in Bishopscourt sell for an average of R30 million.

Because of the scarcity of homes, there is an exceptionally high demand, with properties selling.
