Two completely new Pokémon designs have been officially unveiled, and they’re set to become available to fans pretty soon. With the upcoming release of Pokémon Winds and Waves on the horizon in 2027, hopes are that Nintendo and The Pokémon Company will soon start to present some of the new creatures we’ll be able to meet in the archipelago we’re setting off to. However, with rumors of the release being over a year away from now, we may have to be content with what side games are offering.

In this case, it’s the debut of two new creature design variants in Pokémon GO. As announced on the official Pokémon GO account on X, the mobile game is set to celebrate the spooky season at the start of November, and with it comes the second part of a limited-time event that will feature special Pokémon to catch. Halloween 2026 Part II will happen between November 1 and November 5, and during this period, you may encounter some new Pokémon designs.

According to the announcement, Pikachu wearing a hat and a capelet and Sinistea wearing a bow will make their debuts during this special event. It will be possible to catch these Pokémon via one-star raids during the event, and they may even appear in their Shiny forms. The radical new Pikachu design in Pokémon had already been revealed, as it will be obtainable during the first part of the Halloween event, which runs from October 27 through November 1.

These are only a few of the special encounters planned for Halloween 2026 Part II. Litwick will have increased spawn rates, and you may encounter Rowlet wearing a Pokémon Halloween costume, as well as Gengar wearing a Spooky Festival costume. These special costume variants had already debuted in previous years. What is also new during this version of the event is the debut of Shiny Greavard, which you may encounter if you’re lucky enough.

Halloween 2026 Part II will also serve as a stage for a buff applied to Mega Sableye, which will now have a new Mega Level: Super Max. With it, the Dark- and Ghost-type Pokémon will be able to reach new heights and will be capable of learning Night Shade+, which will deal extra damage based on the Pokémon’s Mega Level. This will make the Mega Evolution form in Pokémon GO a lot more powerful than before.

It’s a huge period for the franchise, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. While many fans, myself included, were expecting new core game releases in 2026, they’ve been pushed back into 2027 to allow Game Freak to fine-tune everything. While Winds and Waves is still in production, we’re still getting a ton of new content, including new Pokémon designs we couldn’t have expected.
