After rain reduced the playoff game to an eight-over shootout, Amazon Warriors limited Tridents to 69 for 4 in eight overs. Shabnim Ismail and Shamilia Connell started well for Amazon Warriors once again and by the end of the third over, which was bowled by Sheneta Grimmond, Qiana Joseph retired out on 3 off 12 balls.
Captain Hayley Matthews (22 off 14) and their New Zealand import Maddy Green (30 off 16 balls) dragged Tridents to 69, but it was not enough for them to challenge Amazon Warriors, who chased the target with four balls to spare.
Though Eboni Brathwaite fell for 2 in the first over of the chase, Tazmin Brits settled Amazon Warriors with an unbeaten 35 off 23 balls, including three fours and two sixes. Former captain Shemaine Campbelle pitched in with 22 off 12 balls as Amazon Warriors completed the job without too many hiccups.
