Euromatch NPFL: Rangers vs Nasarawa Suspended Due To Heavy Rainfall

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter between Enugu Rangers and Nasarawa United at the Dan Anyiam Stadium was suspended on Thursday afternoon, due to heavy rainfall which made the pitch unplayable.

With the game tied at 1-1, the heavens opened up, eventually creating heavy pools of water across the turf that made ball movement and player safety impossible.

Acting in accordance with league protocols, the match officials made the decision to stop play in the 63rd minute.

Play was officially frozen with just over an hour gone on the clock, leaving players and coaching staff heading back to the dressing rooms as the downpour intensified.

Match organizers have confirmed that the remaining 27 minutes (plus stoppage time) will not be replayed from scratch. Instead, action will pick up precisely where it left off tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM.

League authorities continue to prioritize player welfare, ensuring fixtures affected by extreme weather are completed under safe and fair playing conditions.
