SEOUL, Sept 18 — BTS member Jimin’s solo hit Like Crazy has crossed one billion filtered streams on Spotify, becoming the first fully Korean-language song to reach the milestone.
The Korea Herald reported that Big Hit Music announced the achievement on Thursday, marking another milestone for the track, which was released in March 2023 as the lead single from Jimin’s debut solo album Face.
The synth-pop song also made history on the Billboard Hot 100 when it debuted at No. 1, becoming the only Korean-language song by a K-pop solo act to top the chart.
Like Crazy remained on the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks, while Face spent seven weeks on the Billboard 200 and reached a peak position of No. 2.
The single recorded 60 weeks on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US charts, with a highest ranking of No. 2 on each.
In Britain, the song opened at No. 8 on the Official Singles Top 100, the highest position achieved by a Korean artist.
It also reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart across all 119 regions.
