The Indian men’s and women’s teams defended their Kabaddi gold medals at the Asian Games after overpowering Iran in their respective summit clashes.
The Sunil Kumar-led Indian men’s team staved off a spirited challenge from Iran 40-34, while the women beat the same opposition 37-34.
This was the Indian men’s team’s ninth gold medal in the sport at the multi-sport event. The women bagged their fourth gold.
