After what felt like an eternity, the international break is finally over, and domestic football is back. For those of you who enjoy a good punt on the footy now and then, Italy’s Serie A offers a wide range of opportunities to bet on a number of markets, and potentially make some good money in the process.
Many Europeans, particularly those in the UK and Ireland, hold Italian football very close to their hearts, ever since Football Italia burst onto TV screens in the 1990s. Fans of a certain age will still remember that iconic ‘Gooooaaaallll Lazooo!’ line to this day. (Incidentally, how are your backs?)

Italy’s Serie A is one of the most competitive leagues on the planet. Home to a host of the world’s biggest clubs, and the best players and managers in the Beautiful Game today, the quality of football in that league is exceptional, as are the betting markets.
But who will lift the trophy come the end of the season, and who will be crowned top goalscorer? Will Inter or Milan add another trophy to their cabinets? Will Roma pip them to the post, and will Donyell Malen and Lautaro Martinez be able to keep up their exceptional goalscoring form?
Who Will Win Serie A 2026/27?
We may only be 6 games into the 2026/27 Serie A season, but bookmakers and fans alike, already have a fairly good idea of which teams are going to be in the running to lift the trophy come the end of the season.
Inter
Inter are the current favourites to win the Serie A title as of this writing. UK bookmakers BetSelect report that Bet365 currently have Inter at 8/15, whereas Ladbrokes will give you 1/2 odds if you wish to back them for the title.
As of this writing, it is Inter who sit atop the table on 16 points after six games. So far, that’s only two points dropped, and they are yet to be defeated in the league.
Last season, coach Cristian Chivu became only the fourth coach in Serie A history to win the prestigious Scudetto before reaching the ripe old age of 50. Last season for Inter was somewhat of a breeze, though it has been a long time since Italian champions have retained their title on back to back occasions.
Roma
Next up, we have Roma, who are 9/2 with Ladbrokes, and 6/1 with Bet365.
Without question, the appointment of Gian Piero Gasperini has been a real gamechanger for the club. He was able to immediately take Roma back to the Champions League in his first season in charge, and this time around he wants to go one better and add the Scudetto to his list of accomplishments.
Roma have not won the title in more than two decades, but this season they look like serious contenders, particularly with Donyell Malen in the running for top goalscorer, with six goals from six games as of this writing.

Milan
If Inter are in contention for the title, you had better believe that Milan will also be in the running, and in the running they most certainly are.
Ladbrokes are currently providing odds of 14/1 if you fancy Milan for the title, whereas Bet365 have them at 12/1.
With the appointment of Ruben Amorim in June of this year, Milan will be looking to put the heartbreak of failing to qualify for the Champions League last season behind them. Since taking charge, Amorim certainly appears to have lit a fire under his players, with three wins, three draws, and no losses so far.
Juventus
Finally, despite currently sitting in 6th place in the table, Juventus are still in contention for the title, with 14/1 odds with both Bet365 and Ladbrokes.
It has been six years since Juventus last won the Scudetto, though with the club plagued by injury, adding another league title to their trophy cabinet will not be an easy task.
Serie A Top Goalscorer Odds
Okay, so we’ve looked at the favourites for the Scudetto, but what about top goalscorers?
Here’s a quick look at who the bookies are tipping to score the most Serie A goals this season, and what sort of odds you can expect.
Donyell Malen

Right now, the general consensus is that Roma forward and Dutch international Donyell Malen will be the top goalscorer in Serie A for the 2026/27 season.
Malen signed for Roma permanently back in the summer, and has got off to a cracking start this season, with 6 goals after 6 games in the league. He’s currently the favourite for top goalscorer this season, with odds of 11/8 with Bet365.
Lautaro Martinez
Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is another in the running to be crowned top goalscorer this season.
Currently, the Argentine forward has four goals from five games in Serie A, so he’s definitely in contention. Bet365 are currently offering 5/2 odds if you think he has what it takes to snatch the most goals this season.
Goncalo Ramos
Finally, at 14/1, it’s Milan and Portugal international Matias Goncalo Ramos who many believe is also a contender for top goalscorer this season.
Currently, the Portuguese striker has just one goal to his name after six games, so he’s got some catching up to do. What we must remember however, is that it’s still early October, and a lot can happen over the next several months.
