Mbappe Brace Ends Barcelona’s Unbeaten La Liga Run
Kylian Mbappe scored twice as Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1 at Camp Nou to end their unbeaten run in La Liga in a dramatic El Clasico on Sunday night.
Barcelona came into Matchday 10 having won all nine of their La Liga games this season and were looking for a tenth straight win on the eve of the Ballon d’Or awards.
But it was Madrid who took the lead in the 41st minute through Mbappe who was lucky to see a clearance inside the box by a Barcelona come off him.
Barcelona responded after the break through Raphinha, who cancelled out Mbappe’s opener in the 61st minute, finishing off a superb interchange of passes.

The game looked set for a draw until the winning goal was scored by Mbappe in the 87th minute. Eduardo Camavinga cut the ball back from the byline and Mbappe hammered it into an open goal for his second of the night and the winner.
The result moves Real Madrid, who are on 24 points, move to within three points of Barcelona in the league table after 10 games.
