Shreyas Iyer rises to No. 7 in ICC rankings after maiden T20I century

Shreyas Iyer zoomed up 18 spots on the ICC's rankings for men's T20I batters after hitting his first century in the format, an unbeaten 43-ball 102 that helped India beat West Indies in the series opener in Lucknow.
Iyer is now at a career-best No. 7, the third-highest-placed India batter on the table. Ishan Kishan, who scored an unbeaten 27-ball 37, is at No. 1, with Abhishek Sharma, who hit 21 in ten balls, at No. 2. Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan, England's Harry Brook and Jos Buttler, and South Africa's Dewald Brevis are placed between the top two and Iyer.
The other big mover, though much lower on the table, was Sherfane Rutherford, who scored a 34-ball 56. He went from No. 47 to No. 37.
In the bowlers' rankings, Pakistan's Abrar Ahmed lost his top spot to Rashid Khan. Abrar's none for 29 and 1 for 29 in the semi-final and final of the Asian Games wasn't good enough to keep him at the top. He is currently No. 2. For Rashid, it's his eighth time at the top of the table - he has spent more than twice as long as anyone else in that position over the years.
Axar Patel, whoe finished the Asian Games with four wickets in two games and took 2 for 26 against West Indies, jumped 16 places to get to No. 7. The Bangladesh spin duo of Nasum Ahmed (up three spots to eighth) and Mahedi Hasan (up ten places to ninth) moved up too.
Shubman Gill consolidates his No.1 spot in ODIs
After his 223 not out in the second ODI against West Indies - his second double century in the format - Shubman Gill extended his lead over Daryl Mitchell at the top of the ODI batters' table to 47 points.
Mitchell went up to No. 2 because Virat Kohli, after his century in the first ODI, had 29 and a duck in the subsequent games against West Indies, and slipped to No. 3.
In that third ODI, Shai Hope played the lead role for West Indies, a match-winning 162 not out, and that helped him gain two places to get to No. 6, while KL Rahul, whose own century in that match went in a losing cause, rose seven spots to get to No. 10.
Among bowlers, Jayden Seales' three-wicket haul in the third ODI against India put him in the top ten too, at No. 10 after rising 12 spots.
