2028 will mark a decade since we first learned of the existence of The Elder Scrolls VI, and since then we haven't really learned anything more about the game. One big area of interest was what it was going to be called, with most of the games in the series so far either named after the locations they're set in, or after an overriding theme that permeates the narrative Oblivion.
Now, we have finally learned what the sixth mainline game in the Elder Scrolls series is going to be called, and it gives us a great clue as to what part of Tamriel will be exploring when it does finally arrive.
Over on the official Xbox website, the video game giant posted a simple image under the title The Elder Scrolls VI Official name reveal. That image confirmed what many of us have heard rumors about for a while, namely that the official subtitle will be Sentinel.
Sentinel is a city in the province of Hammerfell on the continent of Tamriel, so it’s a fairly safe assumption that will serve as the main location for our next outing. It’s yet to be seen whether the game map will spin over into neighboring regions.
