Bad Bunny Extends Own Spotify Record With “VeLDÁ,” Now Has Five More Billion-Stream Songs Than Anyone Else

“VeLDÁ,” Bad Bunny’s collaboration with Dei V and Omar Courtz, has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, becoming the Puerto Rican superstar’s record-extending 36th song to reach the milestone.

The achievement puts Bad Bunny five songs clear of his closest competition, The Weeknd, who has 31 tracks with more than 1 billion Spotify streams.

It’s also a first for the song’s collaborators as “VeLDÁ” marks both Dei V and Omar Courtz’s first entry into Spotify’s Billions Club, as World Music Views reports.

Released in January 2025 as part of Bad Bunny’s Grammy-winning album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, “VeLDÁ” also features a spoken appearance by Wisin and samples Plan B’s “No Voy a Esperar Por Ti.” The song peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 9 on the Billboard Global 200, while reaching the Top 10 in several Latin American countries.

Curiously, Bad Bunny only claimed the Spotify record earlier this year. At the beginning of February, The Weeknd led all artists with 31 billion-stream songs, followed by Bad Bunny with 28 and Drake with 26. Bad Bunny has since added eight songs to his tally, moving from three behind to five ahead in a matter of months.

The milestone adds to an increasingly crowded list of accomplishments for Bad Bunny in 2026. Earlier this month, his Super Bowl LX Halftime Show won seven Emmy Awards, becoming the most-awarded halftime performance in Emmy history.
