There are three Serie A players in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Week, as Como’s Nico Paz, Scott McTominay of Napoli and Inter defender Carlos Augusto earned their spot.
This was a perfect round for Italian football in the tournament, as all four teams participating emerged with victories.
That was reflected in the UEFA choices for the Champions League Team of the Week.

Como hero Nico Paz scored twice and provided an assist as they blew Manchester United away 4-1 at the Stadio Sinigaglia, so naturally the Argentina international was chosen in a creative midfield role.
So was Napoli star McTominay, who scored his first two goals of the season to secure Napoli a thrilling 4-3 win over Bodo/Glimt, but also registered a 100 per cent passing completion rate in all areas of the pitch.

The third representative for Serie A in the UEFA ideal XI was Carlos Augusto, who played both in a back three for Inter and then as a left-sided wing-back, scoring the winner against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Sommer (Club Brugge); Mbuyamba (LASK), Geertruida (PSV), Carlos Augusto (Inter); Foden (Manchester City), Nico Paz (Como), Rice (Arsenal), McTominay (Napoli), Doué (PSG); Mbappé (Real Madrid), Kane (Bayern Munich)
