Translate

Police say they have reported a 14-year-old boy after an investigation into an alleged assault at Glenelg Beach.

Officers were called to the beach on September 29 to reports of "several hundred youths surrounding a fight on the beach".

SA Police said a woman had attempted to intervene during the disturbance when she was hit by a bottle.

Police will allege the bottle was thrown at the woman, causing a minor cut to her hand.

Police said in a statement the woman was identified and reported the incident to police.

"On Thursday 8 October, police attended Glenelg Beach regarding an unrelated matter, where they identified the suspect allegedly involved in the assault," police said.

Police said a 14-year-old Valley View boy was reported for aggravated assault today.

He is expected to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court at a later date.
