Prime Video’s ‘Things We Never Got Over’ Adaptation Adds Sean Teale, Sarah Jeffery and More
Prime Video has added six new cast members to its upcoming series Things We Never Got Over, the streamer announced Monday morning.
Sean Teale (Doctor Odyssey, Only Murders in the Building), Sarah Jeffery (The Six Triple Eight, Charmed), Megan Stott (Penelope, Little Fires Everywhere), Lili Simmons (Double Down South, Power Book IV: Force), Anthony Keyvan (Just Picture It, XO, Kitty) and JoBeth Williams (Poltergeist, Behemoth!) have signed onto the streamer’s adaptation of Lucy Score’s bestselling contemporary romance novel. Teale will play Lucian; Jeffrey will play Sloane; Stott will play Waylay; Simmons will play Lina; Keyvan will play Stef; Williams will play Liza J.
The new cast members join the previously announced Molly Griggs, Matthew Noszka and Tommy Martinez, who are set to lead the series. Things We Never Got Over is based on Score’s novel of the same name, which is the first in her Knockemout trilogy.
The show’s synopsis reads, “When runaway bride Naomi Witt (Griggs) arrives in the quirky town of Knockemout, Virginia, she expects to rescue her estranged twin (also Griggs) and return to the life she left behind. Instead, her sister disappears, leaving Naomi with a niece she never knew existed, a town full of irresistible characters — including charming local sheriff Nash Morgan (Martinez) and his decidedly grumpy but infuriatingly sexy brother Knox Morgan (Noszka) — and a future she never imagined.”
Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder wrote the pilot and serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Gina Girolamo will executive produce through her production company, Strega Stories. Score will serve as co-executive producer. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and will stream exclusively on Prime Video.
