McDonald's x Pokémon TCG collab: Release date speculation and what to expect

It's time for another collaboration between McDonald's and the Pokémon TCG.

Previous collabs have seen limited edition Pokémon cards be made available in Happy Meals, and we've got some new ones heading our way soon.

So, if you want to get your hands on this next set of McDonald's Pokémon TCG cards, here's when they release and what to expect.

When do the McDonald's Pokémon TCG cards release?

The next set of McDonald's Pokémon TCG cards will be available in Happy Meals from 5 November 2026.

Unfortunately, the promotion is only available in the United States, meaning those of us in the UK, EU and around the world are out of luck.

The cards will be available until 9 December, giving prospective collectors just over a month to assemble the full collection, which should be plenty!

What cards are in the McDonald's Pokémon TCG collaboration?

There will reportedly be 15 total Pokémon TCG cards to collect as part of this collaboration.

During the promo, every Happy Meal will contain a booster pack of four cards, each of which will contain one holo card and four non-holo cards.

There are six total holo cards, so while you will get a guaranteed holo in every pack, it may take a while before you get all six holos.

Unfortunately, the cards themselves haven't yet been confirmed for this event, so watch this space!

Plenty of fans are hoping to see a special Pikachu card that was released for a similar promo in Japan last year.

The card, which features Pikachu reaching across a table towards a burger, is yet to make its way to the west.

Considering the Japanese promo led to scalpers buying and throwing away huge numbers of uneaten burgers, hopefully the rollout this time around will be handled with a bit more tact.
