Avengers Endgame: Encore smashed around Rs. 2.50 crore on its first Monday, registering a 68 per cent drop from its opening day. Though it would be a big drop for a fresh release, Endgame is a re-release, for which it’s nothing but encouraging.
The running cume of the superhero venture reached Rs. 28.25 crore nett at the Indian box office. It will emerge as the biggest Hollywood re-release grosser today, surpassing Interstellar’s Rs 29 crore cume.
Avengers Endgame: Encore has a very good shot at emerging as the biggest re-release of all time in India by beating Sanam Teri Kasam’s Rs 42 crore record. However, that won’t be an easy task as the film will face Drishyam: The Conclusion from the coming Friday, which might push it out of the cinemas.
