Square Enix Unveils Final Fantasy VII Revelation Game's Trailer, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion Remaster's Switch 2 Version
Square Enix unveiled during the Nintendo Direct livestream on Wednesday two trailers for games in the Final Fantasy VII series. The first video is for Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, and it shows Sephiroth. The second trailer is for the Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion remastered game, and it announces the game's Nintendo Switch 2 version, which launched on the same day.
Square Enix released the Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in December 2025. There is no Switch 2 upgrade path or save data transfer for customers who own the Switch version.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation will launch on April 8 simultaneously for PS5, Xbox X|S, Xbox on PC, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Square Enix released the Final Fantasy VII Remake game on PS4 in April 2020 after a delay from March 2020. The game was a PlayStation exclusive until April 2021. The game's new Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade version with additional content launched in June 2021 on PS5, December 2021 on PC via the Epic Games Store, and June 2022 on PC via Steam. The game received a release for Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud on January 22.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth debuted worldwide in February 2024 on two discs for PS5. The game then launched on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in January 2025. The game launched for Switch 2, Xbox X|S, and Xbox on PC on June 3.
