Roskilde Festival 2027: Tame Impala, Caroline Polachek and Patti Smith Quartet lead first wave of acts

Tame Impala, Caroline Polachek and the Patti Smith Quartet lead the first wave of acts for Roskilde Festival‘s 2027 edition – check them out below.

The 55th instalment of the Danish non-profit event will take place between June 26 to July 3. Find tickets here.

Other acts on the bill so far include Kacey Musgraves, Ezra Collective, Suki Waterhouse and the Lambrini Girls.

Almost 200 acts will eventually make up the full line-up in the coming weeks. You can view the first wave of acts below.

“Roskilde Festival is a vibrant mix of sounds and expressions that both reflects the time we live in and offers a glimpse of what lies ahead. With this first announcement, we are outlining the programme with 18 acts representing vastly different sounds and tendencies,” Thomas Sønderby Jepsen, Roskilde Festival’s Head of Music, said.

“There is pop, hyperpop, rock, metal, punk, hip- hop and jazz, and both compelling new voices and major names such as Tame Impala, who are playing only a handful of European festivals this summer.”

Last year’s line-up included headliners such as The Cure, David Byrne, Lily Allen and Gorillaz, who got into a spat with Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats when the former allegedly forced an early end to the latter’s set.

Damon Albarn and co. were headlining the Danish festival’s Orange stage, which coincided with the psych rockers’ set on the Legune stage. Problems occurred as Uncle Acid’s set was clearly audible at the Gorillaz show, which led to some perturbed comments from Albarn.

“Is it supposed to be possible for me to hear the other music so clearly?” Albarn asked the crowd, per reports from Danish newspaper Politiken. “We can just stop playing and listen to the other thing instead, that’s fine with me.”

As a result of the sound bleeding over, Roskilde shut down Uncle Acid’s set after half an hour.
